Valve is a important equipment in pipeline flow control process, and great attention is increasingly paid to its accurate characteristics. The traditional experimental study just can be used to research the macroscopic external characteristics of valve, in addition some defects must bear in the research process such as long period of production design and high cost etc, and the microscopic flow field can not be obtained. With the development and application of CFD theory and CFD software, CFD simulation has increasingly win the good graces of academic and industry circles. The study on visual simulation of3D flow field for venturi flow control valve based on FLUENT is discussed in this paper.The industrial application of venturi flow control valve and development of CFD research on control valve are described in the paper; the characteristics of flow resistance and flow rate of valve are analysed; the related theories of CFD and control equations are discussed; at last according to typical condition of the valve, the CFD visual simulation of venturi flow control valve is created. Concrete works of this paper are as follows.1) To ensure the scientificity of CFD simulation, firstly simulation work of butterfly valve is carried out; the research results of flow field distribution and dynamic moment characteristics is coincide with related CFD theories and control equations, and finally the results show that the unstructured hybrid grid partition method, standard κ-ε turbulence model and the SIMPLE calculation method is reasonable for the flow field calculation in the kind of control valve.2) Pressure inlet and pressure outlet are selected as boundary conditions, according to several different inlet pressure and different valve opening from10°~80°, modeling and meshing respectively; from massive numerical calculation, the velocity and pressure contours, velocity vector and streamline diagrams are obtained in the different inlet pressure and different valve opening; the results are showed that with the influence of flowing around blunt body, the flow field change and the producing and disappearing process of vortex with the valve plate opening changes.3) The aerodynamic moments are calculated in the condition of three kind of inlet pressure and valve plate at different opening, and the law of moment change with opening is obtained; alternating spring loads law of aerodynamic moment is turn on.Finally, the research contents are summarized, and the future research focus is point out.
