Staggered truss frame system is a new steel structure style which is characterized by economy, efficiency and practicability. It has been applied abroad more and more widely in recent years. Searching and developing this structure have important significance to drive the building materials, metallurgy, chemical, and mechanical and related industrial progress, to improve the technical level and the construction of the people’s living standard function, to realize the industrialization and the standardization of the structures, to promote the development of the urban construction.The large-scale finite element analysis software-OpenSees which is opened to objects, following the principle of Open-Source, is a comprehensive and continuous development and open program software system. Based on this program, this article is focused on the following:Firstly, The composition of the program、the use of commands and the process and methods of building the corresponding numerical models are detailedly introduced.And A staggered truss structure frame model has been builded、proceeded static analysis and dynamic analysis using OpenSees; Secondly, according to mechanical characteristics of the thin-walled member of the staggered truss structure, a kind of elastic mechanical unit model is put forward which suitable for the thin-walled member, and OpenSees object-oriented programming and the characteristics of the open source code have been used, the thin-walled member has been added in OpenSees, and has been proved which is correct and accurate.Finally, using the improvement and development program, there have been analysed the seismic performance factors of elastic time history analysis of the impact of crisscross truss system, mainly to the crisscross turss fasting internode length,depth-span ratio and the damping ratio parameters on the comparative analysis.The results of analysis shows that:Reducing the size of the hollow internode can lead to increase resist lateral structure performance; Increasing the depth-span ratio gets the flexibility of the structure; Under the different the action of damping ratios in the same truss structure, storey drift ratios are very different.
