Because of the development of technology and society in the21th century, thenon-renewable energy resources are becoming scarce and the environment also is beingpolluted by human itself. We must insist our theme which is the energy saving, environmentprotection and sustainable development while the developing process of China. The carsmoving on the road are becoming more and more every year, and the exhaust gas dischargedby them is one of the important air pollution factors. Because of the traffic jam, the car enginealways works at the idle mode and30percent gas is consumed at this mode. Aim at the idlemode, this paper designs an idle non-error tracking control system, and simulates the workprocess. The simulation results validate the excellent performance of the idle non-errortracking control system。At first, this paper introduces the background and significance of the research, explainsthe purpose and main ideas of the idle speed control system, and analyzes the research statusand development trend of gasoline engine idle speed control system. This paper designsgasoline engine idling ARMAX model based on recursive least square method. It takes agasoline engine model in MATLAB/simulink as the identified object and gets the ARMAXmodel of465Q gasoline.This paper researches on internal model control, non-error tracking control and optimalcontrol systemically, and proposes a pole-placement method for the idle non-error trackingcontrol system. The pole-placement method moves the poles of idle non-error tracking controlsystem based on the poles of idle optimal control system, and it can get excellent performancesimilar the optimal control system. This paper deduces the formulation of idle controllerparameters, it makes the idle control system design become more symmetrical.At last, this paper establishes the gasoline engine idle simulation system based onMATLAB/simulink software. Based on the simulation, it analyzes the dynamic and staticperformance of the control system, the ability of anti-break of load, the ability ofanti-continuing change of load, and the robust ability of the system. The simulation resultsprove that the idle non-error tracking control system owns excellent performance.
