How to determine the kinematics and dynamic characteristics is still the main research contents in the university teaching. Under knowing the institutions size and the original movement rules circumstances, the main task of mechanism motion analysis is how to determine the other components of the organization’s point trajectory, displacement, velocity, acceleration as well as components’angular velocity and angular acceleration. Institutional dynamic characteristics analysis the components force and inertia force during the running movement.At present, in the university mechanical theory course teaching, teacher mainly uses the graphic method and analytic method in planar four-bar movement and institutions force analysis. Both methods have their own shortcomings and the complicated consideration, cannot visual and quickly get the number of kinematics and dynamics parameters of planar four-bar linkage. This is some extent affected the initiative and enthusiasm of the students’ learning. With the popularization of computer applications and mechanical analysis software development, in order to overcome the above situation, this article research on simulation experiment platform which can makes it easier for students to understand the visual image of planar four-bar characteristics based on ADAMS.Based on ADAMS software platform, this article create custom menu and dialog box with the secondary development tools and languages provided by ADAMS, and respectively realized the planar four-bar parameterized modeling and simulation analysis under the rigid body, flexible body features. Also you can easily view the displacement, velocity, acceleration, force curve, any point trajectory curve of connecting rods and realistic animation effects. Facilitate students imaging intuitive understanding the motion and dynamic characteristics of planar linkage in innovative design.With the help of ADAMS software and its expansion modules, this article has studied the following content:1. Research the present situation and development trend of linkage mechanism in domestic and international, and make sure this research program and system second development steps.2. Define the rod position, quality, drive as the parametric object, and create a specialized dialog box allows the user to enter these parameters, realize parameterized modeling and simulation analysis of planar four-bar linkage, create custom menu for easily view track, displacement, velocity, acceleration, force and other physical properties curves.3. Based on the analysis of rigid planar four-bar linkage’s dynamics, the article take advantage of ADAMS/AutoFlex module, considering the rod’s deform under the action of forces, make it as a flexible body, customize menu to output the designated points stress curves and each node of the stress list information, give the relative displacement, velocity and acceleration curves of designated two points between Rod, and various physical quantities contrast curves between rigid and flexible state.4. According to ADAMS command format and write the program, generate the menu and dialog box used in simulation analysis of planar four-bar linkage.5. Respectively use the specific examples as crank-rocker mechanism, double-crank mechanism (Include parallelogram double-crank mechanism and inverse parallelogram double-crank mechanism), double-rocker mechanism to verify the feasibility of planar four-bar simulation experiment platform established by this paper.
