Municipal urban sewer system is an important urban Infrastructural facilities.It plays a significant part in preventing urban water disasters. Building the urban sewer system model can simulate and forecast the flow conditions in the city drainage systems,and the model can help the manage and design of the system.The development and application of hydraulic models of drainage systems was promoted by the advancement of computer technology. It is an effective approach to promote the construction and management of municipal infrastructure that urban drainage system was designed,reconstructed,administrated assistance with hydraulic mode. With assistance of hydraulic model,the administration efficiency and operation state of drainage system has been improved,and the safety of drainage has been improved.Firstly the paper gives the current research situation and application development of urban sewer system model in home and abroad.Secondly,it summarizes the compositon of mathematic models and describes the techniques of sewer system.Related to the case of G city L river modeling,the paper describes a very practical modeling method for the urban drainage networks,which includes data collection and inputting,topology checking,catchment area dividing,parameter seeting,model checking and results analysis.When the urban sewer system modle is buiding,we applied it to the urban sewer system modeling in L river of G city. The paper using measured drainage process line to the model checking. Results shows,while retrofitting mian trunk of L river drainage system,expanding the pipeline diameter in tianhe south second road can improve the operation conditions, wushan drainage reconstruction can significantly reduce the running load of east main trunk.and simultaneous implementation of two programs can meet both current and long-term development,and it is better than individual transformation; Accordingly, the proposal is to synchronously implement two reconstruction programs, Can effectively improve the situation of drainage system in operation conditions. In addition, When use the model to study the impact that the main drainage boxes on the L River,we found that the main canal box levels fall can be achieved through various ways.Meanwhile, the model has calculated out the sphere of influence that the main canal box water level make on L river drainage system operation, the research results provides a theoretical reference for the operation management of drainage system system, also indicate the direction for system problem analysis. The results of the paper not only can provide advice on management and controlling of drainage system in G city but also may be considered as an option in choice of drainage system for cities like G city.
