| As one of the greatest masters of modern architecture, Mies and his works havebeen an important object of architecture study. This paper attempts to study Miesspace in the view of a chess game space, hoping to find the similarities betweenthem and the concept and essence of Mies space.This paper is mainly divided into three parts. The first part is to understand the chessgame space and think the chess game space as a time-space structure, which leadsto the similarity with Mies space. The second part is to study several importantrepresentative works in career of Mies, and to analyze the "chess method" in thedifferent stages of the "chess game". The third part is a summary of Mies space andextension, hoping to present some inspiration for architecture design. |
