In recent years, a large number of super-gong span cable-stayed bridges appeared in China. Due to the request of structure function, more and more tendons with great curvature and massive tonnage are used in concrete construction. Because of the increment of span, the designed tonnage of cables achieves "kiloton"grade. And the stress in the anchorage zone of pylons becomes greater and greater, there is no doubt that lots of new problems come forth in design. Moreover, because of the cable-stayed bridge pylon belong to the towering structure. It is in the formidable natural condition, such as the sun radiation varying with time. Besides, the complexity and uncertainties of the concrete material itself influence the short-term and long-term behavior of the pylon in a certain degree. These are all urgent topics that need to be solved.On the basis of the collection of relevant information and an in-depth analysis of previous research achievements at home and abroad, the stress of the cable tower anchorage zone of Xiaoshawan Yellow River Super Bridge is studied in detail. For the characteristics of climate in the North area where the bridge is built, the behavior of anchorage zone caused by general load and the temperature load are both considered in this paper.First, the paper discusses the concrete structure about temperature stress of caloric load and studies the theoretical temperature load and the theory about temperature thermal stress. As Xiaoshawan Yellow River Super Bridge is built in the North cold area, in the analysis of its anchorage zone stress, temperature effects is mainly reflected in the following two aspects:one is the temperature cased in the zone, another is the influence on the cable forces by the temperature change. Then, according to reference norm and similar engineering project, a temperature field partition method suit to this bridge is put forward.The whole bridge static structural analysis is studied using finite element analysis of pole structure, Doctor Bridge. And temperature load according to the last chaper is considered in the study. Compare cable tension under different temperature load, and select the most unfavorable load cable tension stress as calculated value of the segment model.Using large-scale finite element analysis software, ANSYS, simulation calculation of the anchorage zone in reality work condition is done. So we can get the calculated results of the cable stress and get the stress values of the tower’s section. Use software to calculate the temperature distribution. Furthermore, the temperature stress caused by the corresponding temperature field is invested by the coupling method. Then add up the towers section’s stress.These laws obtained in this paper can not only be used as the basis of the cable tower anchorage zone design of Xiaoshawan Bridge but is also useful for the design of such kind bridge.
