The development of large-span roof structures represent the technical level of a national building, has been widely used in stadiums, convention centers, industrial plants, aircraft hangars, waiting hall and other buildings. In recent years, its increasingly varied forms, the emerging of new structural system, the span increasing and the use of new materials led to the roof structure is very sensitive to the wind load, often for the design of the control load. Once these large span structures are injuried or damaged by the wind load, will have an enormous impact on the national economy and people’s lives and property, to this end, health monitoring and safety assessment on a number of large span roof structure, finding potential safety problems timely, the establishment of the safety warning system has important social meaning and value in use, at the same time, research on security warning method is one of the hot issues of academic study in recent years.The main content and conclusion include:(1)According to the characteristics of space truss structure, reasonable choice of finite element parameters, establish the finite element model by using ANSYS softwave.(2) According to the simulation theory of wind load, through analysis, simulate wind load of space truss structure by using harmonic superposition method, by contrast with the Davenport wind velocity power spectrum, agreement is very good, the precision can meet the working requirements.(3)Explaied the importance of safety warning, introduces the wavelet transform and modal strain energy identification theory.(4)According to damage identification theory, establishing the corresponding damage diagnostic procedures, then use the finite element sofeware to set up a flat-panel grid model, changing modulus of elasticity of rod to simulate damage, analysis of nodes dynamic response by the wavelet transform to judge the damage area, then in the damaged area calculating modal strain energy of rod to determine the location and accurately.
