Axial-flow pump was widely used in every area of China’s national economy, soas the mark demand increases,people have higher requirement for itsperformance.Axial-flow pump model is the fundament for guarantee the energy andcavitation performance and steady operating of prototype axial-flow pump. Impelleris a very Important components of impeller pump, reasonable impeller design have aderect fluence towards the impeller pump properties wether good,the lifting designmethod is a traditional method was applied to design the axial-flow pumpimpeller,one is a kind of half half experience theory method,use the streamline designmethod to design mixed pump and centrifugal pump model with excellentperformance characteristics,because there are all belong to the impeller pump,so inthis paper use the brove two methods to design the axial-flow pump impeller andcomparison of the two models characteristics.Interior flow of pump must be deeply studied to improve the efficiency ofaxial-flow pump and extend its condition range and enhance its reliability.Throughthe numerical simulation to explore the internal flow of axial-flow pump and obtainthe interior flow field distribution and various overflow parts interior flow regimeinformation accurately,and is the effective means of design the high performancepump model and optimization.The main research contents and conclusions are listed as follows:1、A brief description and objective analysis of the axial-flow pump developmentin homel and abroad,according to the two fundamental theories of hydraulic design ofaxial-flow pump to design the models.2、Flow components of axial-flow pump have been designed are modeled inthree-dimensional solid by using Pro/E software,the three-dimensional solid ismeshed unstructureed by ICEM software.3、The numerical simulation is done to the two initial design of hydraulicmodels,and through the numerical simulation results to repaired and improved therelevant parts’ geometry size.Compaired the simulation results of the two differenthydraulic models,determined the streamline design method is applied to design ofaxial-flow pump models.4、Application of CFD simulation technology for axial-flow pump internal flowstudy,calculation with Reynolds time-averaged N-S equation and continuity equation as the control equations,the standard κ-ε double equation turbulence model wasused to make equations closed,use SIMPLEC scheme to iteration-correction thevelocity and pressure,discrete is carried out with the second-order sccuracy.Numerical simulation on the different flow rate conditions of the interior flow ofaxial-flow pump, and the velocity vectorsand static pressure were obtained,throughqualitatively analyzing the inner flow results.
