With the development of social and economic, problems of energy depletion and environmentalpollution committed to developing renewable energy in many countries, and thus the green solar cells arethe focus of many nations’ research in nowadays. The solar cell device based on organic semiconductormaterials is flexible, and the production process is relatively simple, for instance it can be produced at roomtemperature. Meanwhile, it is inexpensive and friendly to environment. These advantages make solar cellshave great potential for development. In recent years, organic semiconductor materials for solar cells havebeen developed for a wide range of the materials, a mixture of Poly (3-hexylthiophene)(P3HT) and[6,6]-phenyl of C61butyric acid methyl ester (of PCBM). The solar cell whose active layer was made bythese materials shows a higher efficiency. Therefore, the thesis aims to the solar cell to explore thecraftsmanship and performance evaluation.First, the traditional producing method of Indium-Tin Oxide (ITO) substrate in the production processof solar cells is introduced. Then, the disadvantage of the method is pointed out. Meanwhile, acorresponding improvement is put forward. The author introduced the research of the method of solar cellproduction with no etched, and illustrated the advantages of this method. The results showed that thismethod can effectively reduce the extent of the damage that in the production process of solar cells.Second, the author introduced the production process flow of solar cells with the flexible ITOsubstrate, and then introduced the performance evaluation of the solar cells. The solar cells produced withflexible substrate and glass substrate by the same conditions are compared for solar cells’ photoelectricconversion efficiency and the performance degrades. The results showed that the flexible substrate led tothe solar cell have a low performance due to their own material properties, including light transmittanceand conductivity and other reasons. Finally, the author introduced the improved production methods of solar cells, and compared theperformance between the encapsulated and the un-encapsulated solar cells. The open voltage, short-circuitcurrent, conversion efficiency and their attenuation were evaluated for the differences between the twosituations. According to the experimental results, it is found that the encapsulated solar cell is significantly better than the un-encapsulated solar cell in performance. The encapsulated solar cell brought out a betterstability. The open voltage, short-circuit current and conversion efficiency has improved greatly. At thesame time, this thesis elaborated the details that need to pay attention in the process of the experiment.
