Concrete is the most widely used in society today, but the concrete existshortcomings: low tensile strength, easy to crack. The concrete strengthen by PVA fibetis a effective way to improve the capability of concrete to engineering practice andexperimental study. As the PVA fiber reinforce concrete have many possess a wideprospect. However, the code of PVA fiber reinforced concrete is not exist in our country,it can not give support in the practice work. Base on bending comparison experiment ofsix PVA fiber concrete beams and one normal concrete beam, the main achievements ofthis paper are as follows:1. The effect of the volume fraction of PVA fiber, the ratio of longitudinalreinforcement on PVA fiber concrere beam cracking load. PVA fiber can improvecracking load, and it increase with PVA fiber volume rate addition. Max to124%compare with normal concrete beam.2. The effect of the volume fraction of PVA fiber, the ratio of longitudinalreinforcement on PVA fiber concrere beam ultimate load. PVA fiber can improveultimate load, and it increase with PVA fiber volume rate addition. Max to121%compare with normal concrete beam.3. From the load-displacement curve of PVA fiber concrete beam, the beamstrength by PVA fiber increase its ductility,reduce displacement. In same load,PVAfiber volume rate addition,reduce its displacement.4. PVA fiber concrete beam compare with normal concrete beam, the cracks ofbeams by PVA fiber appear later, width smaller ande number low.5. The effect of the volume fraction of PVA fiber, the ratio of longitudinalreinforcement. Combining with the code for design of concrete structure, the formulafor calculating the normal section strength of PVA fiber concrete beam is established.6. The effect of the volume fraction of PVA fiber, the ratio of longitudinalreinforcement. Combining with the code for design of concrete structure, the formulafor calculating the width of the maximum crack of PVA fiber concrete beams isestablished.
