Although the study of simply supported-continuous bridge starts late in our country,many research results have been achieved. Especially, in the theory of bridge structureand construction control, some agreements have been reached. However, there are fewresearches on how to emerge the theory achievements with specific monitoring andconstruction control so as to fulfill the design requirement. The paper takes5th largespan constant section box girder large span of Huanghuayu Yellow River Bridge inZhengzhou as research object, and studies the process of construction control with shortline method. The contents include the following aspects,Firstly, the construction monitoring contents and methods of simply supported-continuous bridge are reviewed. The core content of the paper is Linear control, whichis also the main task of short line method construction monitoring. And other relatedfactors should also be focused on, or else the control precision may be influenced.Secondly, on the basis of simply supported-continuous bridge constructioncharacteristics, the paper mainly studies the basic strategy of linear control of precastbeam with short line method, and analyzes the theory of constriction processes andprinciples. The calculation method coincides with coordinate is obtained as well assome fundamental methods on precision controlling. Then, the errors during the processand the reasons are explained and summarized. Based on relative theory, the methods ofreducing plane or elevation errors and improving linear precision are also involved.Thirdly, according to the project, Midas/civil is employed to build model andanalyzed the full process of construction by selecting proper parameters. The finiteelement results indicate the relation of precast line and design line, which providestheoretical basis. Then, a practical project calculation combined with the contents ofchapter3is shown.Finally, the paper studies the linear control during the process of bridge erection,analyzes the errors and the corresponding reasons, and the way to adjust constructionerrors. The finished bridge status show that the construction control works well andhave reached ideal effect, which proves the validity and feasibility of the short linemethod construction control and the finite element analysis proposed in the paper. Thus,they can scientifically guide the linear control of simply supported-continuous bridgeand provide reference for the similar projects.
