As an important renewable energy, Wind energy has a long history of development and used with its clean and rich resource. With the part of wind power generation increases in the power system, more and more domestic and foreign experts and scholars pay widespread attention and in-depth study on the wind power technology and the interaction between wind power grid and power system. For the large wind farms, its exit will causes a greater power shortfall in power system which is not conductive to the stability of the system. Therefore, each grid guideline requires that wind farms must have the capability of low voltage ride through in order to avoid the wind farms splitting caused by power failure as far as possible. At present, the wind turbines in the power grid operation of our country do not have the ability of low voltage ride through basically. Against the problem of the low voltage ride through of wind farms, this thesis proposes an integrated control equipment. When it occurs voltage sags fault, this equipment will accesses in series between wind turbines and grid in order to help wind farms achieving the function of low voltage ride throughSimulation models about wind power generation system and integrated control equipment are built based on PSCAD/EMTDC platform, and by which corresponding control strategies are verified. The results show that the proposed integrated control equipment can achieves the function of wind turbine low voltage ride through. When it occurs voltage sags, this equipment can stabilizes the voltage to normal state. At the same time, this integrated control unit can consumes the active power generated by the wind fans and compensate the reactive power and so on. This thesis also builds a hardware test platform, and this experimental result further verifies the theoretical correctness of the principle.
