Suspension Bridge is a kinds of bridge which load bearing by cable, Chinese is the earliest nation who building suspension bridges. With the development of technology for bridges, suspension bridges are used wide. Compared with other kinds of bridge, suspension bridge can be built more large span, bridge deck section does not increase with the increasing of span, therefore, the suspension bridge can be built on where bridge pier is difficult or cannot to be built such as the rush river and the deep canyon. In addition, suspension bridge owns a feature that appearance is elegant and beautiful. Stable type suspension bridge is a new kind of suspension bridge. Stable type suspension bridges enhance the whole stiffness of the bridge in some extend through adding inverse stretched system under traditional suspension bridge’s strengthen beam. It is fit for medium and small span bridge. Wind-induced buffeting is one kind of forced vibration due to the natural wind velocity wavering, Wind-induced buffeting may arouse the suspension bridge vibration to affect the comfort in driving and make component damaged by fatigue failure. Therefore, it’s very necessary that research suspension bridge buffeting and the effect to buffeting response of bridge by inverted stretched system of stable type suspension bridge.This paper based on finite element analysis. Researched stable type suspension bridge wind induced buffeting problem. The main work and achievements as following:1. The history and current situation of suspension bridge development in world has be Summarized and induced, The principle and the advantages of stable type suspension bridge has be Introduced, The history and method of research on bridge wind against has be introduced.2. The basic theory of finite element algorithm and the basic theory of suspension bridge design and calculation have be introduced. Two kinds of mechanics model of mojiang bridge in completed status has be built to research the effect of inverse stretched system.3. Analyzed the static and modal problem of two mechanics model by the universal finite element software, and compared the static and dynamic characteristics of stable type suspension bridge and traditional suspension bridge. According to current wind resistance of bridge design specifications in china, the aerodynamic characteristics of mojiang bridge strengthen beam has be calculated.4. Several basic forms and the harm of bridge wind induced vibration were introduced. The principium of buffeting and the basic method in current to researching buffeting were introduced. Several basic assumptions for researching buffeting question and several typical wind spectrum which is used to researching buffeting were introduced. Several wind spectrum characteristics and their respective advantages and disadvantages were compared. And use the power spectrum density (PSD) method, which is used in buffeting problem analysis, to calculate the buffeting response of two kinds of bridge. Result shows that the inverse stretched system could enhance the statics and dynamics performance of suspension bridge notable and reduce the buffeting response.This paper use the general finite element software to building two kinds of model for MoJiang bridge, the buffeting response of the two model has be calculated. The effect produce by inverted stretched system to buffeting response of MoJiang bridge was evaluated.
