The highway construction is a product of the times which is a set of economic benefits, social benefits and destruct the ecological environment along the highway. At present, in order to promote these three areas with each other harmonious development, in highway construction, an important problem need to be resolved is that the original ecological environment of the damaged surface should be restored by the green vegetation as soon as possible. In this grim situation, highway vegetation recovery is not optimistic, so we must vigorously implement vegetation greening projects. The ecological pattern and ecological laws which have been destroyed need to restore eventually reach a state of harmony step by step. In this paper, the factors of road construction impact on the environment were studied, through analysis of the domestic highway green state of the environment. According to the ecological conditions of the different climatic regions, the highway greening tree species selection principles and greening design and design concept were proposed, and the technical measures of highway greening the environment were proposed through taking an example.1, The status of the highway green environment at home and abroad were studied. The highway landscape design principles were proposed according to the existing problems. The design of landscape and scenery of the highway should be integrated with the three aspects of the landscape pattern, geographical culture and landscape features.2, How to apply the plants in the greening environment of the highway was proposed, according to the ecological conditions of the different climatic regions and the adaptability of the plants in the environment.3, Suitable plant landscaping practices of different regions were proposed, through analyzing different green areas of the highway. Green key areas were designed such as highway median strip, slope, interoperability area, service area, the tunnel entrance and so on.4, In this paper, the nature, society and economy of Beijing-Zhangjiakou Expressway were also analyzed. In the route design stage, we should adapt to the local conditions and respect for the surrounding environment and the ecology, landscape and economic of the highway, and achieve to the goals of greening landscape design. We should reasonably use the configuration of plants, natural resources and human resources in order to promote the greening space system playing comprehensive benefits of political benefits, economic benefits, ecological benefits and humanities effective. The main aim of the highway plant greening is to protect the original ecological landscape, improving the environmental problems caused by the project and restoration of damaged ecological pattern so that we can take a development road which is green, ecology, sustainable and Humanities.
