This paper realized the development of a skewed rotor DSEM electromagnetic finiteelement program based on Visual C++programming software in the2-D field. And used theprogram to calculate the prototype of electromagnetic fields and obtained the flux densitydistribution, EMF and torque curves. Also proved that the motor rotor chute has a good effectto reduce the torque ripple and improve the performance of the motor, making the DSEMsuitable for electric vehicle hub drive motor.First, the integration of the traditional cars effect on the world’s environment andresources, as well as the development of electric vehicles and electric vehicle drive motor, sothis paper selected the DSEM as the hub motor. As a hub motor, the larger the pulse torquewill produce vibration and noise, and will affect the operating performance of electricvehicles. Then, we used the segmentation method to calculate the finite element of the chutemotor. We based on the basic theory of the electromagnetic field of the finite element programto achieve the preparation of the finite element program of electrical excitation of the rotorchute Doubly Salient. Finally, based on the finite element program written in the chute motorcalculated obtained the flux density distribution, EMF and torque curves. And compared tothe straight groove structure from the finite element numerical solutions. We can thus conclude that the DSEM efficiency, high energy density, especially afterusing the structure of the rotor skewed excellent operational performance, torquecharacteristics and mechanical properties suitable as a hub motor. In addition, we realized thefinite element calculation of skewed rotor motors in the2-D field, and provide help for thefinite element calculation of the skewed electromagnetic field.
