As is known to all, energy saving, environmental protection, new energy vehicletechnology is one of the focal point research in the world, the electric power as the powerenergy has been widely used in all kinds of engineering. To its superior performance, Lithiumion batteries stand out in power battery market.With power lithium ion battery relatedmaterials and preparation technology are mature,lithium ion battery with light weight, bigenergy storage, big power, no pollution,long life,low self-discharge coefficient, broad rangetemperature life and other excellent properties,its application field has been widelyexpanded,such as,electric cars,electric tools,space and energy storage areas and so on,and alsopromoted the pace of industrialization of the powered lithium ion battery.Because the lithium ion battery are obviously nonlinear, inconsistency and time-varying,in addition the requirements of the charging and discharging are very high, when they areover charged, over discharged, discharge current is too large or a short circuit, that will makethe lithium battery temperature rise, damage the lithium battery’s performance seriously andshorten the battery life.Lithium battery as power should be more than ten or hundreds of largecapacity battery in series, if one of the batteries has a problem, the group battery will notcontinue to work because of the security reasons. Without a powerful management system,the powered lithium battery is unable to get effective promotion. So the powered lithium ionbattery management system research has the very vital significance.This article mainly focuses on research the lithium battery management system of10string10Ah lithium ion battery group. First of all, research the characteristics and basicworking principle of the lithium ion battery, then research the battery equivalent circuit modeland the battery state of charge (SOC) estimating method, and chose the combination SOCestimation algorithm of Ah integral and open voltage according to the design requirement. Interms of hardware design, take the modular design method, and study the control planselection of the lithium ion battery management system, the voltage acquisition module, thecurrent acquisition module, temperature acquisition module, the equilibrium managementmodule, charge and discharge protection module, display module and data communicationmodule detailedly. At last, introduce the algorithm implementation process of each module.The lithium battery management system researched and designed in this paper is perfecton the function, safe and reliable, and the cost is low, the anti-interference ability is well, so ithas a very good application value.
