Kinds of problems may occur when HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle) is running, so theenergy management strategies for the vehicle should guarantee that the car can still work wellunder different failure modes. Based on the research of uniaxial coupled complex hybridelectric vehicles, with failure analysis theory, the failure analysis for the parts in transmissionare done in this paper by means of FMEA and FTA. In addition, the failures modes may exist inthe system are researched, and the influences caused by them are also studied.Firstly the energy management strategies for failure-free mode are made, according toanalysis on power flow of HEV system. Then with the concept of fault-tolerant control, EnergyFault-tolerant Management Strategy under failure mode is created through parameter on-lineregulation.The vehicle model is established by ADVISOR, and the simulation analysis is researchedon Energy Fault-tolerant Management for failure mode of single part. The results show thatHEV can work well under Energy Fault-tolerant Management strategies, which ensures thereliability of vehicle system. It also provides certain technical supports for deeply studying thefault-Tolerance and reliability of HEV system.
