Special equipment is the basis of national economical construction, which has a good connection with our life. It can be benefit from human, but it can cause heavy loss in human’s life and property under bad management. Along with the people’s request on safety health and environment is more high, special equipment safety is receiving more and more attention. It becomes a valuable research topic how to establish special equipment and improve its safety.The special equipment safety management is still in the initial stage of exploration at the present, based on the study of special equipment situation at home and abroad and practice, how to establish special equipment safety evaluation index system and choose the appropriate evaluation method. The content of the issues are as follows.1. Introducing the history of special equipment safety management, and describe the safety management evaluation at home and abroad and relative research of special equipment management, and pointing out the problems of our special equipment safety management evaluation and then proposing the goal and significance of the issues2. Analyzing the safety features, accident law and cause of the special equipment, combining the literature and expert experience, establishing special equipment safety management evaluation index system, then confirming the weight of each index by AHP, which can confirm the foundation of the evaluation.3. Using fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method for special equipment. Then putting the method into practice, and processing the result of the level of safety features of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation. The case shows that it has good operation and applicability of special equipment safety evaluation index system and the selection method.
