The Wolong arch bridge is a beautiful form of the arch bridge, arch rib contains the main arch and side arch of two parts, so the force is more complex, side arch to the main arch along with the side of the arch shape changes analysising the different shape of the side arch line is the main content of this article. Not currently Wolong arch bridge is few,in this article with the Wolong arch bridge from Changde City, Hunan Province, as the project background; designing the form of the side arch, using the finite element method,study the main structure of the Wolong arch bridge parameters by force as well as the stability of the structure, obtained the optimal form of the side arches, and finally three different side of the arch in the form of tensile force were compared. This paper discusses some design parameters on the structure of the internal forces, the stability of the future study of such bridge type has a certain reference value.The main work and conclusions of the paper is as follows:1. Analysising and comparing the internal force of three different side of the arch form Wolong arch when the bridge is subjected to the dead weight of structure(dead load),symmetric live load(the capacity load of vehicle loading and crowd loading) and eccentric live load respectively(the eccentric load of vehicle loading and crowd loading), when the stiffness ratiothe of the the side arch and the main arch is different, under the three loads condition analysising the internal force of the Wolong arch bridge to identify the changes of the internal force with the side arch and the main arch stiffness ratio, in order to draw the optimal form of the side arches.2. Three different side of the arch type Wolong arch stability analysis to identify optimal edge arch program, when the side arch and the main arch stiffness ratio is different,analysising the stability of the three side of the arch type of Wolong arch bridge, to get the stiffness ratiostable patterns of influence, separate the main arch with three different Wolong arch of instability safety factor to identify the side arch the impact of the entire the Wolong arch stability.3. Analysis three different forms of Wolong arch cable force to identify different forms of the side arch on the cable forces to find the optimal bridge type. Changing the stiffness ratio of the side arch and the main arch then observe the cable force changes to identify the cable force with stiffness ratio changes, then identifing the best side arch and the main arch stiffness ratio.
