In the International System of Units, six basic units have achieved aquantum of reproduction, such as Meters, Seconds, Amperes, Kelvin, Moleand Candela. But the mass unit kilogram is the only unit to use the physicalbasis in the International System of Unit. And an important constant is thePlanck constant in the research on quantum of reproduction of mass unit. Inthis paper, we study an innovative solution about the mass of the benchmarkof quantum. The issue is called measurement of Planck’s constant usingbalance oscillation system. We completed a set of experimental equipment ofoscillation balance based on energy compensation. Through theoreticalanalysis and experimental verification, this balance oscillation system meetsthe basic requirements of oscillation period measurement. This paper focuses on analysis of the feasibility, and closely aroundthe design and implementation of the balance oscillation system. From thepoint of the energy compensation, make sure that the mechanical energy of thebalance is the same during the oscillation process, to control the amplitude ofthe balance beam. We also design a system to measure the amplitude and theperiod of the oscillation balance. In this paper, we have completed the work asfollows:1. Study the state of balance oscillation system, and achieve thedifferential equation of the beam using the analytical methods.2. Design a displacement sensor measuring the displacement of theoscillation of the balance beam. The sensor should be suitable for the balanceoscillation system. And we design the sensor using the principle of reversedHolm Hz coil.3. Design the energy compensation program. The program should makethe energy of the system the same during the oscillation. In this paper, wepresent a program on energy compensation using instantaneous pulse.4. Design the actuator to compensate the energy of the system. This partis indispensable for the oscillation system. We design the actuator using non-contact mode of interaction of electromagnetic force.5. Complete the equipment of the balance oscillation system, and designsome experiments to measure the amplitude and period of the oscillationsystem. In this paper, we completed to design the whole system of the energycompensation system, including the displacement sensor design, the controlcircuit design and the actuator design. The designed sensor’s relativesensitivity is0.195V/mm and the stability is less than3.36×10-5. Thought thepreliminary experiments, the stability of the oscillation amplitude obtainedthe order of10-6and the stability of the oscillation period obtained the orderof10-5.
