Measured in UHVDC power transmission project, the conductor is a main factor of the whole project in checking wheather the operation is sTab., because the conductor is not only to guarantee the normal operation of the transmission line, but also the relationship between investment and operating costs to the construction of the tower and the entire line project. Because of the rise of the voltage level makes the electric field strength generated by the conductor, then causing a series of impact on the natural environment and the conductor surface field and the surrounding electric field strength determine the corona characteristics of the UHVDC conductors’ structure (including radio interference, corona loss, audible noise and DC transmission ion flow phenomena). Therefore, a reasonable arrangement of the conductors of UHVDC transmission project structure and the correct choice on the coductors’type all are the important work to the transmission line design department. Also, it can provide a deeper analysis on the corona effect.Based on the basic theory of the electrostatic field, using the surface charge method, the split conductors’ surface along the circumference is divided into many same arc segments, combined with numerical integration and linear interpolation to launch a potential split at any point of the conductor around the formula, Electric field intensity can be caculated around the conductors form the charge distribution. Then, by changing the number of splitting conductors and splitting conductor’s radius, conductor’s height, pole spacing and splitting spacing to compare the influence of electric field intensity around the conductors by the various parameters. At the same time, taking into the lightning conductros account, using the same algorithms and principles to calculate the lightning conductors’surface electric field distribution by the two ways of grounded and ungrounded, analyzing the influence of the lightning conductors’ suface electric field on the different radius and height. Furthermore, the lightning conductors have much effect on the splitting conductors, so the conclusion can prove it. Finally, we can get the corresponding conclusions by comparison the different rusults, then propose effective measures to reduce the electric field.
