With the rapid growth of the national economy, the building of the our country businessprosperity and development, especially in high-rise buildings, the construction is inunprecedented growth period, the foundation of building quality increased significantly,especially in the pile foundation bearing capacity of single pile bearing capacity has the high ofthe use of large diameter bored piles become more common. But for this type of pile bearingdeformation characteristics, so far is not very clear, still no reasonable calculation method. Thecurrent specification can be fully reflected the design method of large diameter pile load ofdeformation mechanism, theoretical and actual contradictions between, therefore, of largediameter pile on the properties of bearing research is not only the need of the development ofpile foundation theory itself, it is the urgent requirement of engineering.This article summarizes the major diameter pile bearing capacity determination methodsand their respective advantages and disadvantages, discusses the working performance of largediameter pile, single pile load transfer mechanism and the influence factors on load transfer ofbehavior.In the existing several calculation methods for single pile settlement, load transfer method isclear in concept, simple in calculation, the practicability is strong, the single pile settlementcalculation in the most widely used, some scholars put forward a variety of load transfer function,the transfer function for ideal elastic-plastic relationship of the Zuo Teng Wu method, which canbe used to analyze various pile types, homogeneous soil or soil load transfer. But it is in theformula derivation process also exist some problems, such as the pile-soil relative displacementand compression of pile body settlement area classification. This paper is on the basis oftheoretical research, the Zuo Teng Wu method to amend, considering the influence of lateralresistance and sediment depth effect of pile foundation, put forward the load-settlementcalculation method.Combined with Ling Hai field of pile test results, discusses the various loads pile settlementcharacteristics. And the side friction of pile, pile end bearing capacity, load transfer mechanismand bearing capacity characteristics an analysis. The measured data and the analytic solutions arecompared, to verify its correctness.
