The suspension bridge have capacity of the largest across in the various bridges due to itsability to take full advantage of the strength of materials, light weight, material saving andother features. Under the influence of solar radiation and atmospheric temperature, theinternal and external temperature has large difference because of the poor concrete thermalconductivity, thus forming a temperature gradient. Therefore, temperature effects cannot beignored in the bridge construction monitoring. The background of paper is a self-anchored suspension, use part of the stiffening girder ofthe bridge stiffening girder, Π type of laboratory simulation of concrete segments of a1:2.5scale model test, the concrete heating curve was mapped out by layers temperature test andvertical temperature gradient mode of Π type beam was analyzed. Along with time thetemperature variation showed a sinusoidal trend, which is the same as the variation ofatmospheric temperature, but it lags behind free air temperature changes, and the distancefrom the concrete surface farther, also the longer and the lag time. The vertical temperaturegradient in the solar radiation is a positive temperature gradient mode, when the sudden dropin temperature or solar radiation disappears, it was a negative temperature gradient mode, therefore, it is a positive and negative cycles in the temperature gradient mode. At the sametime, the outside air temperature is lower than the concrete in the roof, while the dailytemperature fluctuations below the roof of concrete with temperature variation. The research and analysis of Π type temperature field of the beam section by using theANSYS finite element simulation software, and compare the measured values, the trend ofthe actual curve and the theoretical calculation is roughly the same, but there is some error, for error causes one by one. According to temperature data, through the regression analysis,we obtained measurement, calculation and fitting gradient. Through analysis of verticaltemperature distribution, the temperature pattern is piecewise linear, it is similar to the BritishStandard, indicating that the calculation methods and the fitting method is reasonable. Finally, the calculation method of temperature self-stress was introduced, Using finiteelement method gives the calculation results of this project, analysis of the adverse effects oftemperature changes to construction monitoring, At last, the paper given the six-pointmeasures to reduce the thermal stress. It can provide some reference to the similar bridgeconstruction process.
