In recent years, as the unmanned aerial vehicl technology s development rapidly, autopilot is the core of the flight controlled system. Its performance determine whether the UAV developes toward to miniaturization, intelligence and high precision direction. Therefore, the research of autopilot has been a focus, which is noted other countries.No.1of triumph UAV is studied in this paper, and the MATLAB software is adopted as developing tools. Firstly, principle and composition structure of UAV autopilot are analyzed, and the automatic control theory is studied, design ideas of the automatic control theory and the automatic control system s combination, which is adopted. Through the demand of cross-lateral control, slope gesture maintain mode and course holding mode of UAV are designed and simulated. The simulation results shows that the lateral control law of UAV is researched by the paper, which has good control performance, and satisfies the needs of actual flight.Based on detail theory foundation, structure of autopilot is simulated, and simulation results is satisfactory. It has reference value to verify structure performance of autopilot.
