| Controlability and stability and ride comfort are the most important two factors in thevehicle performance. Both domestic and foreign researchers have conducted a lot of research, and established a variety of dynamic models. On the basis of various models, these twoperformance trends have been studied in terms of some structure parameters, and then manyvaluable conclusions have been obtained. On the basis of the aforementioned research results, this article studied the influence degreeof front suspension torsion bar and stabilizer bar’s angular stiffness on vehicle handling stabilityand ride comfort by virtual prototyping of vehicle simulation. It provides some references forvehicle designers when they adjust the suspension structure parameters.First, according to the necessary technical parameters achieved from study sample vehicle, its dynamics simulation model is established, which based on car professional models ofADAMS. And various of derivative car models with or without front stabilizer bar areestablished based on the prototype model as the original one.Secondly, according to the national handling stability experiment standard, the simulationof all above models was conducted. The analysis of simulation result indicates that angularstiffness variations of front suspension torsion bar and stabilizer bar had a relatively large impacton lateral acceleration at neutral steering pointã€degree of understeerã€roll rate of autobody of thesteady circular test, and on the resonant peak level and phase-delay Angle under steering wheelangle impulse input. But to the yaw rate residualã€population variance of yaw velocity of thereturnability test and to the average of peak yaw rate〠peak steering wheel angle of the slalomtest, they had less influence. Meanwhile angular stiffness variations also had moderate impact on yaw rate response time under steering wheel angle step input and the resonant frequency underangle impulse input. In steering efforts test, angular stiffness variations of front suspensiontorsion bar had weak impact on the average steering force and maximum steering force whilestabilizer bar had a relatively large impact. On aspect of riding comfort, there was a mediumimpact on angle stiffness variation in the front suspension torsion bar in the common B road test, while this in stabilizer bar was little. Finally, according to the limitations of the research, the author presented follow-up researchand ideas. |
