With the growth of population and the development of society, in the caseof limited land resources, modern architectures rise higher and higher, which putsforward higher requirements for interior drainage system in buildings. It is necessaryto ensure timely indoor sewage exhausted to the outside without causing indoorsewage splashing and odor leaking in low-level space, but also save the cost of pipefittings and other materials considered in the case of smooth drainage.By introducing the flow characteristics of the interior drainage system and incomparison with different hydraulic calculation methods for the building interiordrainage system, American appliance drainage load method is defined in this paper asthe most suitable hydraulic calculation method for the building interior drainagesystem in China, and this method contributes to determining the diameter of the pipesection of the drainage system. This paper introduces double-standpipe drainagesystem, three-standpipe drainage system, Sue Vito single-standpipe drainage systemand AD-type special single-standpipe drainage system, and technical comparison offour drainage systems applied to different types of buildings shows: the drainingcapacity of three-standpipe drainage system> that of double-standpipe drainagesystem> that of AD-type special single-standpipe drainage system> that of Sue Vitosingle-standpipe drainage system; three-standpipe drainage system has the sameventilation capacity as double-standpipe drainage system, so do AD-type specialsingle-standpipe drainage system and Sue Vito single-standpipe drainage system. In this paper economic comparison of four drainage systems applied in residential, office and hotel buildings shows:10-storey defined as the calculation starting point inresidential buildings, the total prices of the four drainage systems have no apparentdifference in the building under16-storey, while upwards, material cost onthree-standpipe drainage system is far less than the remaining three drainagesystems. For draining capacity of Sue Vito single-standpipe drainage system andAD-type special single-standpipe drainage system can not reach the requirement ofoffice buildings, in calculation of material cost in such buildings, only three-standpipedrainage system and double-standpipe drainage system need to be compared: in therange of8≤n (Number of building floors)<16, cost on three-standpipe drainagesystem is slightly more than that of the other, and when n≥16, cost ondouble-standpipe drainage system is more than that of the other, and with the increasing of office building floors, the growth rate of cost on double-standpipedrainage system is more than that of the other.8-storey defined as thecalculation starting point in hotel buildings, the total prices of the four drainagesystems have no apparent difference in the building under16-storey, while upwards, material cost on three-standpipe drainage system is far less than the remaining threedrainage systems.
