Nowadays,sustainable development has become a common problem thought by all theword。With the rapid development of economic,a lot of industrial waste produce,How to reusethese industrial waste, avoiding pollute the environment and to be the waste of resources,become more and more important.Presently, the waste rubber has become major one of industrial waste.How to dispose ofwaste rubber tires, countries have different processing methods, according to their nationalconditions. Rubber powder has "black gold" known, which different size particles crushed orgrinded from waste rubber tires through physical method or chemical methods. The maximumdosage of rubber powder is used as a raw material of modified asphalt in highway constructionand public works. To improve recycling rate of waste rubber tires, our country must furtherimprove rubber powder application potential in construction engineering. By mixing rubberpowder into the concrete, make a kind of new concrete-rubber concrete, having obviousadvantages in dynamic properties and durability and heat insulation and sound insulationperformance and so on, which can better adapt to the need of construction engineering market. Inrecent years, rubber concrete has gradually used in highway, railway, civil construction toachieve ground-breaking progress.This paper put forward the research idea of large content rubber concrete brick, aimed at notonly the extensive use of waste rubber, improve the utilization rate of waste rubber, but can drawgood performance of rubber concrete brick, meet people’s higher demands on the buildingthrough research contrast of large dosage rubber concrete brick’s properties. The test designedthree kinds of concrete bricks with different rubber mixing ratio, replacing sand and gravel withthe same volume rubber powder, curing for28days, test the basic performance and durability,compare with fly ash brick, test results can be obtained, the results show that:(1) Through the test contrast of basic properties, it found that the basic properties of largecontent rubber concrete brick obviously improved. The concrete’s caking property is notinfluence by mixing rubber powder. Rubber concrete brick have good appearance and no slag offphenomenon. Along with the increasing of rubber powder content, the density of brick decreases,water-absorbing capacity and saturation coefficient also decreases. The more rubber powdercontent, the less flexural strength increasing, but the more compressive strength reduction.(2) Through freeze-thaw test and comprehensively take mass loss rate and strength loss rateand appearance quality into consideration, in appearance quality aspect, three kinds of largecontent rubber concrete brick have no obvious change after50freeze-thaw times, whileautoclave fly ash brick are good at first and then serious erosion, changed obviously. On thewhole, through the freezing-thawing resistance comparing of three kinds of large content rubberconcrete brick and autoclaved fly ash brick, the freezing-thawing resistance of brick mixing withrubber powder have big improvement, but not the more the better, the late freeze-thaw strengthimprove more obvious with content increases; while the freezing-thawing resistance of autoclavefly ash brick is good at first, later worse and worse, have a larger extent change. It is fullyillustrated that: as the rubber powder do not participate in hydration, the mixing of rubber powder can effectively improve the freezing-thawing resistance of concrete, especially the latefreeze-thaw strength, but not the more the better, content has a best value problem.(3)Through capillary water absorption test, the brick’s permeability resistance wasresearched, combining with the result of capillary water-absorbing coefficient and water capacityratio, it can be seen, the permeability resistance of the three kinds of large content rubberconcrete brick is very good, while autoclave fly ash brick is poor. With the increases of rubberpowder content,the permeability resistance of three kinds of rubber concrete brick become betterand better, it fully illustrated that the mixing of rubber powder make a significant contribution toimprove permeability resistance. The mixing of rubber powder changes brick’s internal porestructure, makes brick more dense, and internal pore smaller and not connect. The more rubberpowder content, the smaller the pore, so it form many closed disconnected little space,permeability resistance is better.
