Since automotive industry experienced over100years of developoment, peoplehad aleady distracted thier main attention from the original transportation function toits comfort and safty. Braking performance for automobile is an important standard tomeasure automotive safty. As a very important component of automobile, onlyautomotive braking system is of good braking performance and reliable, automobilecan fully play other propenies to work. This article focused on structural analysis, design and optimization of automotive braking system, and carried out an analyticalstudy for automotive braking perfomance. At first, this article systematically collated and summarized the automotivesystem, detailed the description of basic working principle and structral classificationof automotive system. Compared and analyzed its main actuators. Secondly, thisthesis analyzed for automotive force model when braking, braking force distributioncurve and so on. And carried out theoretical analysis and derivation of formula forcaculation method of brake efficiency factor, braking torque and the parking brakeperformance on the slope and so on. And then specifically elaborated and summarizeddesign requirements, evaluation index and our country’s laws and regulations ofautomotive braking system. And analyzed evaluation methods of automotive brakingperformance. Finally, designed a special automotive braking system of a domestic car,and evaluated and analyzed its performance. And then established a mathematicalmodel which aimed at getting the most ideal synchronism adhesion coefficientthrough anayzing braking force distribution of automotive braking system. Wrote theoptimization program using optimization tools of MATLAB, optimized ang got thesystem with the most ideal synchronism adhesion coefficient. This braking systemmade it come true that the practical braking force distribution curve infinitelyapproach to the ideal curve. Then compared and analyzed the performance changes ofthis braking system after optimization. We think the optimization was successful, thebraking performance approached to ideal. The study of this thesis has expected effect, is directive for its development andimprovement.
