The electric omnidirectional-driven platform is an advanced chassis technology of special construction vehicles. This kind of chassis integrates the advantages of electric vehicle,4WS and4WD, owning the characteristics of environmentally friendly, high efficiency, small turning radius, strong adaptability and high level of automation.Supported by a Science and Technology Development Project of Jilin Province, named "Development research and manufacturing of the omnidirectional AC drive electric wheel", this paper investigated the study on the electric omnidirectional-driven platform of the omnidirectional AC drive electric wheel. The whole process can be divided into three sections. First, based on the structural design, the platform including transmission system, control system, suspension system and the body structure is completed, which meets the requirements of the completion of functions and parameters. Taking the process of checking the static strength of reduction gear via the finite element analysis for example, all Components’strength is verified whether they meet the requirements. Secondly, dynamic simulation of the built virtual prototype has been performed, and the equal status mode is considered to be the best driving force allocation model while the vehicle is running normally. Thirdly, taking the parameters as yaw velocity while the vehicles steer as the consult, the steering models of reversed and same direction under the operating conditions of low and high speed should be confirmed, and the dividing line to define the driving speed is also provided. Meanwhile, the technology of no braking system is investigated and analyzed.
