| People now are increasingly conscious of their living environment and how to beautify environment so that ornament industry had been gradually prevailed. Meanwhile, there is more request for the architecture featuring with energy conservation, environmental friendly and ecological and harmoniously development. More standard application of architecture material is concentrated on the issue of security and environment and there is an urgent request for the material that accord with the standard of health and environmental friendly and beautify environment as well. Glass, featuring with the quality of lower carbon, energy conservation, strong security, great transparency and environmental friendly, can produce many beautiful things. Therefore, in the field of architectural ornament, it witness a boost in the use of glass material,just behind steel and concrete.China is a major production and consumption area of glass, occupying70%of the world’s output in which90%were consumed in domestic use and10%for export. The development of glass industry are relate with many other industries, making great contribution to the national economy.The increasing development of glass industry in China has some unreasoning issues, such as dispersed of industrial production, high energy and resource consumption and unreasonable structure. Right now, most producers in China use heavy oil to melt glass, which not only cost expensively but also pollute the environment instead of protecting it. My suggestion is that the government should strongly support the research and development of using nuclear energy in melting glass. It has been a long process before this technology safely applied in glass production since nuclear energy is a burgeoning and high-tech field. The purpose of this dissertation is to make an effort in this process on the principle of people-oriented and environment-oriented, attempting to draw concern and attention of government and related experts. |
