EAST(Experimental Advanced Superconducting Tokamak) fullsuperconducting experimental Tokamak fusion device designed and developed byInstitute of Plasma Physics is a Chinese National Mega-Project of Science andEngineering, and is the first full superconducting experimental Tokamak fusiondevice in the world. According to the plan of experiment, the experimentalparameters compared to its previous stage will be improved, therefore need toupdate the device of gradually. In the process of upgrading device assembly, themeasurement problems have encountered. In this paper, the research of combinedmeasurement technique which is one of the research directions in the field ofprecision testing technology aims to solve the problem of EAST assembly processmeasurement.Firstly, this paper analyzes the modern high precision of3D measurementsystem, and studies the measurement principle and system components of the lasertracker and flexible joint coordinate measuring arm, then proposes a combinedmeasurement system which is based on laser tracker and flexible joint coordinatemeasuring arm, and designs the manner and method of data put togethercombination of the two instruments, and also analyzes the measure mathematicalmodel and measurement error sources of the combined measurement system.Secondly, through the research of the earlier rounds of measuring method ofassembly transformation, this paper analyzes the measurement problems nowencountered, as well as structural features and assembly requirements of EASTfusion device. And put forward a combined measurement scheme based on lasertracker and flexible joint coordinate measuring arm. According to the combinedmeasurement scheme, methods for measurement and testing of key componentsinside the vacuum chamber of the device are designed. Some relevant measurementaccessories are designed and manufactured.Finally, in view of the present actual situation of EAST fusion device, wedesign and build a combined measurement system in the experimental hall ofdevice, at the same time using the combined system measure key components insidethe vacuum chamber of the device. The experimental measurement and the measurement results show that the combined measurement system can accomplish3D high precision measurement of large-scale and of hidden parts. The relevanterror of the combined measurement system has been brought forward.
