Reinforced concrete structure is considered as a popular structure style. Considerable theoretical and experimental research has been conducted by numerous researchers in order to capture the nonlinear seismic behavior of RC structures. With the improvement of computer’s capacity and the optimization of finite element software, numerical simulation of RC components has got huge development, but how to simulate the destruction process of such components reasonably is still a difficult problem. With the support of Natural Science Foundation major research project of Anhui Province "Research on3-D Elasto-plastic Seismic Response Energy Analysis Method for RC Frame Structure", numerical models of RC column RC shear wall and RC joint based on3-D nonlinear finite element software OPENSEES are studied in this paper. The comparison between simulated results and experimental results verifies the rationality of these models. The main work in this paper is showed as follows:(1) Through rational selection of the-parameters of steel and concrete constitutive models, simulation of seven columns under low cyclic and reciprocal loading is carried out by the use of nonlinear beam-column element. Simulated results and experimental results match well.(2) Four approaches of simulating the response of shear wall with sufficient horizontal reinforcement resisting shear and high depth-width ratio are compared in this paper, and beam-column element based on displacement with a zero-length element at the bottom of the column is proved to have a better accuracy.(3) A special loading method in terms of real vertical displacements of two nodes is accomplished in this paper. A side joint and five central joints are simulated through rational selection of the parameters of beam-column joint element, and the comparison of simulated results and experimental results indicates this model can reflect the destructive mode of the joint.
