The large-span steel structures are widely used in public buildings due to itsbeautiful shape and wonderfull adaptability. This kind of architecture is easy to bea terrorist bombing goal because of its crowd and signature. The casualty andeconomic losses would be great once the space structures were attacked byterrorists. So far,our country still don’t have the special criteria of blast resistantdesign for the large-span steel structures, especially under internalexplosion.Compared with external explosion, it’s more complex when thestructures were suffered internal explosion, which were suffered not only by directaction of shock wave, but also by reflected effect and aggregation effect of shockwave.Combined with the increasingly serious situation of anti-terrorism, thisarticle selected single-layer lattied cylindrical shell for the study, which includedthe research of failure modes and blast resistant measures.The main contents were as follows:(1)Numerical simulation test ofexplosion in air is established by using the finite element softwareANSYS/LS-DYNA. The results showed a well consistent with empiricalformula,the reliability of material parameter was provided, so the basis fornumerical parameters of implosion in building was provided.(2)After adoptingthese material parameters,the numerical simulation in a single-layer lattiedcylindrical shell was carried out, the test phenomena and calculation resultsshowed that the model and material parameters were reliable.(3)Using theadopting material parameters to establish the explosion mode of single-layerlattied cylindrical shell. By way of changing the parameters such as TNTequivalence、 height of structure、 rise-span ratio of structure、 position ofexplosion、failure strain of material,the failure modes on single-layer lattiedcylindrical shell was investigated in different situation.(4)Combined with theMachangping toll station explosion happened in Guizhou province and chapterfour of various parameters on the structural failure mode effects,presented theideas of explosion vent.Then establish the mode to check,by comparing the polling date from the simulation result and chapter four.Some conclusions are given as:(1)The damage of structural is serious as theTNT equivalent increases;(2)Reduce the height of structure is propitious tostructure of anti-explosion;(3)The dynamic displacement of structure and rangeof damage increase with the increase of rise-span ratio of structure;(4)Theposition of explosion is more far from structure center, the damage of structural ismore serious, more disadvantageous to structure of anti-explosion;(5)Increase thefailure strain of material is propitious to structure of anti-explosion;(6)Themeasure which strengthen the subject structure and abate palisade structure isgood for venting the pressure of the structure.
