Since development of mechanical manufacture and architectural industry, kinds ofline measure is applied in fields as precision tools and instruments, also measurementsystems commonly. As the standard tool to rang metering, the request of lines measuringwill be demanded highly. The method should be more convenient and precious, whosedevice can meet all measuring. Its regular that grade I and II line scale are standard bylaser length instrument directly. However relative method is used in grade III scalemeasuring generally in most units domestically. The result to gauging is effected manyfixed elements as surroundings, materials, stopovers on length instrument by comparisonmethod whose efficiency is lower.The task aims at preparing a equipment which can supply measure to kinds of GradeIII lines.The process and experiment includes in:Selecting laser interferometer(Ranishaw ML10) as main meter methond,obtaining theresult under stardard temperature by its automatic correction system;Designing marbleand guide rail by5m length as primary struction,aiming lines through fine adjustmentand computer imaging and control system;Designin fixture and fasten mechanism tolines in different shape;Drawing up sofeware and sampling the data from interferometerderictly,also convenient for save and check of record;Test verifying by2ways ascomparison and calibration,metering two kinds rules and comparing whit nation’s resultsis comparion.Grade I rule and other laser interferometeru are used in verifying1m and5m error;Measuring straightness of the marble and guide rail,also giving evaluation ofthem;PUMA and Gray theory will be applied in line measure uncertainty valuation.
