In this paper, a hybrid solar ground source heat pump (HSGSHP) system usedfor heating and air conditioning in the Energy Conservation Laboratory Centre(ECLC), a four-story research and office building in Tianjin was investigated, and aseries of experimental studies are carry out through monitoring the running datainstantly. Then simulation software TRNSYS was used to predict the long-termoperating characteristics of this system. The system consists of an independent ground source heat pump (GSHP) and asolar assisted ground source heat pump (SAGSHP) system. Meteorologicalparameters, flow rate and temperature of water system, electricity consumption, ground temperature and other parameters of this system were monitored, and the solarcollector efficiency, heat storage efficiency of the SAGSHP system and impact factorsof them were analyzed. Then this paper studied the average coefficient ofperformance (COP) and energy consumption rates to the whole of GSHP system andSAGSHP system.Subsequently, Sketchup and TRNSYS software were introduced respectively toestablish a physical model of ECLC and a mathematical model of HSGSHP system, and a simulation study was carried out, concluding that the model is basicallyreasonable. On this basis, this article further simulated the variations of performance parameters during10-year running period. Concluded the variation of COP and theaverage ground temperature in the long term run condition, and lay the foundation forthe further research and engineering application.
