The magnetization of temperature-sensitive magnetic liquid will reduce largely as the riseof temperature, and it will make convection movement because of unbalanced volume forcewhen in the magnetic field and non-isothermal field. By using the thermomagnetic convection oftemperature-sensitive magnetic liquid, it can be used as a cooling medium to cool the heat source.Because the cooling system need not pump drive, so it is called automatic cooling system.Compared with the traditional cooling device, the automatic cooling system is simple and has notvibration; besides, it also has the advantage of energy conservation and environmentalprotection.In this paper, the three-dimensional model of automatic cooling system is established withthe finite element software, and then completes the flowing and heat transferring simulation oftemperature-sensitive magnetic liquid by using the coupling of magnetic field andnon-isothermal flow field. Through the simulation results, this paper observes and analyzes theflowing and heat transferring characteristics of magnetic liquid in non-isothermal flow field andmagnetic field. In addition, this paper analyzes the effect of magnetic field, heat source andcooling condition on the flowing characteristic of magnetic liquid. Then, the automatic coolingmodel is improved on the basis of simulation analysis, here including the design of magneticfield and the structure of model two aspects. Finally, the cooling effect of automatic coolingsystem is studied through experiment.
