Vehicle sound quality evaluation has been an important part of automotive NVHstudy. In order to provide better guidance for development of the whole vehicle and itsimportant parts, more accurate and efficient vehicle sound quality evaluation is needed.,Through the compare of objective parameter and the evaluation result, the target soundcan be proposed in the beginning of vehicle development,and this can be a good way tosave costs and control risk.In order to determine the target sound, accurate and efficient vehicle sound qualityevaluation is needed. Vehicle sound quality evaluation with moving scene isinvestigated in this article. The weighted consistency coefficient is applied to determinethe validity of the evaluation results, and psychological scaling is used to quantize theimpact of different moving scenes on the subject’s judgment of loudness. Through theanalysis of variance, the sound quality evaluation with moving scene can better reflectthe of the subjects’ feeling, The results show that the evaluated equivalent loudness ofthe interior sound from moving vehicles with moving scenesis less than without them;however, the order of the equivalent loudness of different sound samples remains thesame when a moving scene is introduced. Compared with a scene of heavy traffic, ascene of light traffic can result in a larger decrease in the equivalent loudness of amoving vehicle.Standard and efficient data management and vehicle sound quality evaluation issignificant to sound quality evaluation. This article firstly analyzes the user demand andthe main problems existing in the sound quality evaluation, then develops the vehiclesound quality subjective evaluation software platform, and regulates the whole processfrom the data management to evaluation project establishment.The efficiency andstandard ability of vehicle sound quality evaluation isimproved.According to the needs of muffler development, the sound quality of the exhaustnoise is investigated. Through the analysis of the exhaust noise and their order noises,the difference of objective parameter is studied. Combined with subjective evaluationexperiment, the relationship between the preference degree of exhaust noise and itsobjective parameters are investigated. The results show that the traditional way that onlyset sound level as the exhaust muffler design target is not enough; in many psychological parameters, roughness and exhaust noise preferences degree have verygood negative correlation.In the futuredesign of the exhaust muffler, roughness of theexhaust noise should be paidmore attention.Electric vehicles provide hidden danger to pedestrians because the pass-by noise istoo low. Based on the domestic and foreign current research and the measurement ofelectric vehicle noise, this article developed an electric vehicle pedestrian warningsound system.Through the sound quality evaluation, the warning sound on electric carfor pedestrian safety is designed.
