Safety is the eternal theme of railway transportation, the coach security is the toppriority of the railway safety. Passenger train as a complex system integration, anylittle hidden fault may cause immeasurable loss.This thesis used the fault statistics data of25K type coach CW-type2bogie asanalysis data, analyzed multiple fault mode of passenger train running parts. Bytaking the factors of running routes, local climate, running mileage, and maintenancelevel in to consideration, passenger train running parts’ major influencing factors andfault modes were determined.Based on major fault modes of passenger trtain running parts, fault tree analysismethod was used to find out basic events for faults, and factor evaluation wasconducted for these events under the concept ofg risk management. Risk points wereidentified for position service quality and safety. With risk-countermeasure tables, keystages of quality and safety and key procedures were improved to eliminate potentialfault in advance and prevent passenger train accidents.Combining with the actual operation, this study selected passenger train runningparts maintenance crew as experimental group to conduct maintenance strategy basedon risk management. Position control guidebook was designed based on requirementof “standard management” and position safety duty and working procedures, etc.“25K type passenger train coach bogie process risk identification guidebook” wasdesigned and improved according to the requirement of “standardized maintenance”,passenger train running parts fault mode, accident events, safety risk points, basicworking procedure and quality standards.Through the fault statistics and factorial correlationship analysis of the25K typepassenger train CW-type2bogie, using the fault mode tree analysis, identification ofthe basic event risk analysis, evaluation and control level prevention, the gradingmanagement was proposed and realized. Pre-warning and pre-control basedmaintenance strategy was proposed and realized to ensure comprehensive, accurate,and effective safety management, and further improve the coach maintenance level.
