Abstract/Summary:
Cement asphalt emulsion mixture can be described as a composite material withviscoelastic matrix, gradation aggregates, and small percentage of air voids. The existingform and the interface structure of the two binders in the interface are different from cementand asphalt only, and the interface affected the concrete structure performance directly. Therefore, this paper studied the microstructure interface adhesion properties of cementemulsified asphalt mastic-aggregate.The experiment is different proportion of the cement and emulsified asphalt in differenttemperature with Brinell rotary viscometer instrument, the test results indicated that: thehighest viscosity is4%of the cement and7%of emulsified asphalt. The experiment indicatedthat the cement impeled the emulsified asphalt breaking and connected, compared to newemulsified asphalt and cement emulsified asphalt mastic with the optical microscope. The continuous dense aggregate gradation type is suitable for the cement emulsifiedasphalt mixture through the aggregate distribution in the porosity, density, fractal study. Thecement emulsified asphalt mixtures were restructured based on the discrete element methodand have virtual test specimen research, the research results coincided with the aggregategradation results. The adhesion of the cement emulsified asphalt mixture evaluated by the Marshall test, rutting test, the water splitting test and the flying loss test, the results show that the cementemulsified asphalt mastic viscosity influenced the performance of the mixtures, the highestviscosity have good performance.
