| Thermal power generation plays an important role in China’s energystructure, improving the thermal efficiency of steam turbine is a real andsignificant issue. One way to improve the efficiency of the steam turbineis to enhance the through flow capacity and reduce the energy losses ofthe steam in through flow. In engineering, the application of blade leanand efficient steam seal has been one of the main design strategies tofurther improve efficiency. Recent years this application has been widelyused in most companies of steam turbine. So it has a certain academicvalue and engineering significance to research on effect of blade lean andsteam seal to performance of low pressure cylinder of the model steamturbine.This paper used numerical methods to study the characteristics andperformance of the internal flow field of low pressure cylinder. Thefollowing is the main content:Study on the actual drawings of the models, establish the models andgenerate the mesh, use steam as fluid for numerical calculation. The flow field and performance characteristics of the models were acquired. Bycontrast with the straight blade, it is not obvious that the total losses of aleaned blade row are necessarily changed. The spanwise static pressureredistribution due to the lean mainly contributes to the reduction of thelosses at both endwalls, and may change the stage reaction.Based on the numerical study, analysis the the flow field andperformance characteristics of the steam seal models. The leakage flow ofthe steam seal has a significant impact on the downstream blade, coursinglow pressure and flow separation zone in the inlet surface of the thecorresponding blade. Improve the performance needs more effectivesteam seal technology. Combined with the flow field and the data of flowloss, the loss model of engineering was established. |
