Phase sequence detection test must be carried on before power equipmentsare put into operation to ensure that the three-phase sequence of the operatingequipments is consistent when substations and transmission lines areconstructed, rebuilded or expanded. Phase sequence detection is a basic andimportant work in Pudong power grid company. A large amount of manpower,material resources and time are consumed every year because of substationconstruction and expansion project. Therefore, how to improve the efficiencyfor phase sequence detection, reduce costs, reduce security risks, is a worthexploring.The main limitations of the traditional phase sequence detection technologyis that it is time-consuming, risky when used in the high voltage and must beused in the same voltage level and frequency. Domestic phase sequencedetection method, either wired or wireless mode, requires3~4(monitoring,operation, command) operators, and at the same time also needsspecially-assigned operators (at least2) to detect the phase sequence of thesecondary system. If we can realize the asynchronous remote phase sequencedetection technology, it will break through our existing phase sequencedetection model, make the phase sequence detection test becomes moresimple, reliable and safe, and it will be a revolution in the history.This paper presents a generalized phase sequence detection technology,also called asynchronous phase sequence detection technology, which can beused to detect the phase sequence of two different power supply in differentplaces, at different time and for different voltage amplitude. This technology breaks through the bottleneck of the traditional method of phase sequencedetection. Phase sequence detection can be achieved throuout the wholecircuit between different voltage, from the primary system to the secondarysystem. Generalized phase sequence detection technology leads to a new era.Compared with the domestic and foreign products,ether wired type orwireless type, the product based on generalized phase sequence detectiontechnology is a hitherto unknown pioneering work.This paper also realizes the pilot application of asynchronous phasesequence detection technology and solve the adverse effects caused byvoltage amplitude fluctuation, frequency fluctuation, signal distortion(causedby long-distance signal transmission) and the problem of electromagneticinterference.This paper also produced an intelligent phase sequence detection pen,which is designed based on generalized phase sequence detection technologyand applied in Pudong power grid operation. The intelligent phase sequencedetection pecn fully meests the requirements of phase sequence detection testsin substation sites. The phase sequence detection course is simple andconvenient, less demanding on the technical quality of staff, has very highvalue of popularization.Design of intelligent phase sequence detection pen breaks through thetraditional phase sequence detection test ideas, makes the power system phasesequence detection technology jump to the stage of asynchronization, whichis a creation method. Taking into account the need to ensure the safety andincreasing number of substations,,the application of generalized phasesequence detection technology in the power system will lead to managementinnovation in related work and provide a space for not increasing employees.
