Wind power generation as a result of its clean, renewablecharacteristics, has now become one of the most important solutions toenergy shortages and environmental issues. This paper presents a novelwind power grid-connected system, which can not only deliver realpower to public grid, but also provide reactive power compensation andharmonic control simultaneously. In this paper, the current status and development trend of windpower generation and grid-connected technology are reviewed first, thenthe categories of wind power conversion technology and theircomparisons are introduced, thus the research direction and significanceare determined.Aim at wind power generation system with permanent magnetsynchronous generator, topology structure and control methods ofAC-DC-AC converters are studied in detail. First working principle ofrectifier circuit and boost chopper circuit is introduced, and then focus onmathematical model and control method of grid-connected inverter, choose the best control strategy, and give the detailed design of digitalcontroller. On this basis a novel control strategy with reactive powercompensation and harmonic control is presented, this part focus onreactive and harmonic current detection method, achievement of controlstrategy and low-pass filter design method.According to theoretical studies and the actual need of our laboratory, a10kW wind power grid-connected system based on DSP TMS320F2812is designed. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the design, simulationmodel is built first based on MATLAB/SIMULINK, then main circuit andcontrol circuit of the experimental platform are produced and somesoftware programming are completed, a certain amount of experimentalresults are acquired.
