In recent years, the structures damage, enormous casualties and property losses makepeople realize that tradition seismic design concept and design method have inadequacies.These also cause people to pay high attention on how to guarantee the ability of the buildingstructures to resist collapse under the action of earthquake.RC frame structure is one of the most extensive structure, we must pay more attention onits safety problem. Especially, how to estimate seismic capacity of structure is the importantscience question. The paper takes RC frame structure as the research object, the structureparameter is determined as the factor that influences seismic capacity. The structure examplesare designed, IDA analysis for structures with the different system parameter is conductedbased on OpenSees, by comparing the results of the IDA analysis of the different structures,the paper points out that how the different parameters influence the seismic capacity ofreinforced concrete structure. The work provides a good reference for seismic performanceevaluation and design of reinforced concrete frame.The main content is as follows:Finite element software OpenSees with object opening is used for the nonlinear analysisnumerical simulation of a3-stories RC structure designed according to present code withfortification intensity equal to8. The capacity curse is acquired which reflects the totalprocess from elastic stage to plastic stage until to collapse. According to the discrete IDAcurves, we can find that the different seismic records influence the elastic-plastic seismicresponse greatly.The impact of layer is considered,5-stories and8-stories structures are designed, IDAanalysis for structures is conducted, by comparing the results of the IDA analysis of thedifferent structures, the paper points out that with the bigger axial load ratio, the seismiccapacity of RC structure turns to worse.The impact of span is considered, IDA analysis for structures with the different span isconducted, by comparing the analysis results, the conclusion is that with the increase of thespan and axial load ratio, the seismic capacity of RC structure decreases. The influence of seismic fortification intensity is considered, by comparing the analysisresults of structures with the different seismic fortification intensity, the conclusion isobtained that when seismic design dominants, seismic capacity increases significantly.According to the results of analysis, the paper puts forward some measures to enhancethe seismic capacity.
