The total mileage of the mountain road in China takes a large proportion, and thegovernment is constructing more and more roads in the mountain areas. The geologicalhazards, such as collapse, landslide and debris flow particularly represent the complexity ofthe terrain of mountain road and frequent problems of geological environment. With the rapiddevelopment of our national economy and the rising of the road quality, the speed of thedeterioration of geological environment and the occurrence of geological hazards tend toincrease. How to assess the risk of geological disasters and the quality of the geologicalenvironment of the mountain rad provide a scientific basis for the evaluation and controlmeasures of this region’s geological hazards. This paper attempts to explore this areaeffectively. In this paper, we take the geological hazards along the No.108national road of ZhouZhiin North QinLing as the research objects. On the basis of out-site inspection and detailedanalysis of geology data, the author expatiates the regional environmental geology andsummaries the geological disaster type、scale and developing and distribution characterization.Constructed the suitable categorization criterion of actual geologic environment for thepredictable evaluation of single geological hazard, determined the weights of evaluationfactor with the analytic hierarchy process method. Hazard assessment of collapse, landslipand Debris flow respectively made with fuzzy synthetic evaluation model.Lastly, according to the results of the evaluation of single geological hazard, this papergives the picture of the evaluation of the whole road’s geological hazard to make it help theroad management department to formulate relevant policies and regulations and managementimprovement measures. To sum up, the geology environment quality along the roads is notstable. The method and the evaluation model the paper use is a good try in the comprehensiveevaluation of the mountain road geological hazard, and also good results have been achieved. The evaluation results and the actual investigation are basically the same which Have verystrong practicability. The method and result of the evaluation can be used In the future tomake relevant disaster prevention and control measures as reference.
