This paper discussed the close cycle controlling theories on gasoline engineignition. The control strategy of ignition advance angle was analyzed andstudied, and meanwhile, the close-loop control of ignition advance angle wasachieved by using feedback knocking signal. First, we introduced thedevelopment of the electronic controlling technology of engine and thedevelopment history of the gasoline engine’s controlling ignition system. Second,we expatiated on the basic theories of computer controlling without distributortype ignition system, including its structure and principle of operation, and wealso analyzed the principles and characteristics of sensors which is related toignition system. Third, we analyzed impact factors of the ignition advance angle,the control strategy of ignition advance angle, emergence mechanism of knockand knock control strategy. Finally, we analyzed the related theories knowledgeof the knock detecting. And then combining with actual situation we confirmedcomplete knock detection process and designed signal circuit that processes signal which is coming knock sensor.This paper used the Monaco basing on the chip knock detection process.Micro Control Unit (MCU) series for Monaco is a90nanometer technology forengine management system (EMS, Engine Management System) application. Itsmany of chip peripherals structure and linkage logical design fully consideredknock detection needs. If these peripherals will be configured effectively, knockdetection can be achieved effectively highly. In this knock detection process, theeTPU can produce knock window. Every cylinder has a corresponding knockwindow. ADC works in every knock window. If a cylinder produce knock, theknock signal is sent ECU. ECU can adjust ignition advance angle that is thecylinder which produce knock then. It does not affect the normal work of theother cylinders. One of the advantages is that the utilization rate of CPU issmaller and the efficiency of this detecting process is higher in the whole knockdetection process. We also designed the knock detection circuit in the hardwareso that the electrical signal that is detected by knock sensor can be sampled andconversed by Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC).This paper discussed high efficiency and stability to knock detection process in order to take the knock stability control strategy. At the same time, weresorted to feedback control in the computer controlling ignition system. Weconfirmed control strategies of ignition advance angle so as to update constantlyignition advance angle. So, the engine is worked at best moment the workingstate of ignition timing.
