Different from common soil, permafrost was very sensitive when used in road. Whenroad-building, if the cure of the frozen soil at thaw settlement, it can cause Rong Shen, frostheave, foundation settlement and other diseases, which seriously affects road service life. Andour experience of road construction in the northeast region is inadequate, therefore, it isnecessary to the systematic study of road construction technology of the permafrost region, inorder to improve the quality of our permafrost areas of road construction.Relying on BoYaexpressway in Neimeng province, System research on Treatment measures and Constructionspecifications of frozen soil subgrade were done. Firstly, common diseases and treatmentmeasures of permafrost were investigated, on the basis of which, advantages anddisadvantages of different treatment measures were analyzed. Secondly, Geology and climateas well as other condition in permafrost region along BoYa expressway were studied;furthermore, subgrade settlement grades in this area were estimated. Based on the results,XPS insulation board together with replacement gravel was adopted as Treatment measuresfor composite subgrade. Then the structures of this composite subgrade were deeply studiedand standard of construction quality were proposed. Finally, on the foundation ofPrediction of subgrade settlement, actual subgrade settlement of test road were observed andanalyzed, whose results indicated composite subgrade treated by XPS insulation boardtogether with replacement gravel showed great efficiency.
