Saline soil is widely distributed in China. In Qinghai province, which is the third-largestsaline soil distribution area in China, the problem of durability of concrete structure wasserious under the abominable environment. From the actual survey results we know that themost serious damage to the highway and bridge structure occurred in partially-exposedconcrete. Therefore, how to solve the problem of the durability of partially-exposed concreteis the key to guarantee the service life of concrete structure in saline soil area. This papercarried out a systematic study on durability of the partially-exposed concrete in saline soilarea of Qinghai province through the means of the analytical methods of theories, indooraccelerated test and microcosmic test.Based on the present research basis around the world, this paper investigate the naturalenvironment features and anticorrosion measures in saline soil area in Qinghai province;based on the transport mechanism model in partially-exposed concrete in saline soil area, thecorrosion mechanism of partially-exposed concrete in sulfuric acid saline soil of highconcentration is studied in this paper with XRD and SEM; through the accelerate testssimulating the saline soil environment, this paper predict the service life of partially-exposedordinary concrete and partially-exposed reinforced concrete with different cover thickness, theprediction result is well with the investigation results. The research results got from this paper are the supplement to the concrete durability insaline soil area, and they have some reference significancs to the durability design in salinesoil area.
