Dynamic shear modulus ratio G/Gmax and damping ratio λ are the important dynamic parameters of soil seismic response analysis and site seismic safety evaluation. When the relevant research has been carried out, recommended values of G/Gmax-γ and λ-γ in 《standard of Seismic safety evaluation of engineering site》 was always used which was issued by China Earthquake Administration in1994. But now, more and more domestic research indicate that these recommended values are not very practical and representative, So when《standard of seismic safety evaluation of engineering site》(DB001-94) was updated to《standard of seismic safety evaluation of engineering site》(GB17741-1999) and 《standard of seismic safety evaluation of engineering site》(GB17741-2005), these recommended values had to be canceled. In the background of recommended values unavailable, many statistical and analysis of dynamic parameters of general soils and rocks were finished in this dissertation. Results are as follows:(1) A lot of research papers and books on dynamic shear modulus and damping ratio of general soil and rock have been collected, from these papers and books, a large number of test points have been summed up, which could reflect the relevance between dynamic shear modulus ratio、damping ratio and shear strain.and G/Gmax-γ and λ-γ database of cohesive soil、sandy soil and rock has been established.(2) Regression analysis on a large numbers of experimental datas of the common soil dynamic shear modulus ratio and damping ratio on the nationwide and a few overseas regions has been conducted, from which the regression curve equations of dynamic shear modulus ratio and damping ratio has been given, and the linear laws of regression curve, as the change of fitting parameters, have been provided.(3) Fitting curves of dynamic shear modulus ratio and damping ratio were compared between 《standard of seismic safety evaluation of engineering site》(DB001-94)、seed’s and that in the dissertation, and the results show that fitting curves in this dissertation are more representative than that in DB001-94.(4) The fitted curve and the recommended values of the rock dynamic shear modulus ratio and damping ratio have been given through regression analysis. At present, domestic study on rock dynamic shear modulus ratio and damping ratio is a rarity. Furthermore, there are not reasonable recommended value of rock dynamic shear modulus ratio and damping ratio in 《standard of seismic safety evaluation of engineering site》(DB001-94).Therefore, work in this disertation is of great significance. (5) When the models were checked, the least squares was used for checking on regression models, and the results indicated that all of the fitted values of parameters were the best fitted values in this disertation.
