Side slope is the rock which has slope surface. The seepage failure in the Soil slope is a complex problem, is also one of the main forms of the failure of the slope. As the importance of south-to-north water transfer project and the complexity of geological conditions, so it is of great theoretical and practical importance to study the seepage of channels slope for evaluating the safety of the slope, predicting the form and the specific location that seepage damage occurred, and giving the scientific instruction to the slope stability analysis. This paper calculated the three-dimensional finite element simulation analysis of slope and analysis the stability of the slope taking Seep3D research software and Li Zheng slope stability analysis and calculation software as the platform, and the period of SG6zhang gu of south-to-north water transfer project in the section of cross-sectional figure93+621section as the prototype. The capital tasks of this paper are as follows:the paper summarized the development situation of the seepage on the basis of reading a large number of domestic and foreign material; introduced the basic rules and basic concept of the seepage; deduced the basic equation of the seepage, respectively is the motion equation, seepage flow continuity equation and basic differential equation; summarized several commonly used methods of the slope stability analysis, respectively is Fellenius method, Simplified Bishop method,Janbu method and don’t balance thrust method. Under the circumstances of two kinds of level elevation of underground water, the paper established the three dimension finite element model of side slope of SG6Zhang Gu of south-to-north water transfer project, obtained the internal penetration of slope, and got the precise coordinates and graph of the infiltration line. Under the application of the simplified Bishop method, analysised the stability of the internal seepage slope, and calculated the sliding stability coefficient against sliding, through compare with the sliding stability safety coefficient which is required in the 《The standard of levee project design》 and drew the conclusion that side slope is stable, and the channel slope is safe.
